Ethical Issues And Legal Issues Reaction Paper

However the only aspect that I disagree with is that in some parts of the writing it often feels as if diversity is seen like an overwhelming task to surmount. Diversity should not be viewed in this manner. We are all different and there should be a global respect for those differences. These differences should not be viewed as an obstacle yet just as a state of being. The next cite discusses the responsibilities of the therapist. I actually agree completely with all the writings on this particular cite. I s is important that therapists be held to a higher level of responsibility than most other positions. The site states that the group psychotherapist must provide services with respect for the dignity and uniqueness of each patient/client as well as the rights and autonomy of the individual patient/client. The group psychotherapist safeguards the patient/client's right to privacy by judiciously protecting information of a confidential nature. The group psychotherapist acts to safeguard the patient/client and the public from the incompetent, unethical, illegal practice of any group psychotherapist (AGPA, 2002)

The final cite discusses yet another important aspect of group...

The writing reports that the briefing is part of the "Decade of Behavior," an American Psychological Association-led initiative that focuses on the impact of behavioral and social sciences' in solving societal problems, including safety issues.(Boutelle, 2006). All of these aspects come together to show the facets of group counseling.
